The integration of Ipadic classrooms within the school’s learning and teaching environment is one of the school’s main objectives within its 5 years Head Start strategic plan. At Future Leaders International Private School, we believe that IT is not just a tool to enhance learning, but a crucial layer in education, redefining different aspects and pedagogical methodologies within our teaching and learning milieu. Today we are challenging the redefinition era of technology as researched and concluded by Dr. Ruben Puentedura in 2015 and outlined within his pedagogical SAMR model below:
Following the above philosophy, we will introduce the iPadic Classrooms within our school based on the action plan summarized below. In Term I we will train and prepare our facilitators for this task and in Term II we will start the implementation. Our intention is that the iPadic classroom pedagogical layer will be implemented in all classes from KG to Grade 12 within our learning continuum, in all subjects without exception.
We must make sure that the progressive impact of this integration will benefit our student-centered classrooms, which is why a coaching and monitoring system will be followed via classroom visits, surveys with students, parents and facilitators, and parents–school meetings, based on our belief in the importance of the parents–school mutual partnership.

The synchronization of the iPadic classrooms sessions will take place in advance of 1 week at least to make sure the availability of the trolleys for the desired periods.

At the award of the academic year 2018 -2019, students and facilitators will be using iPads to facilitate their striving and inquiry to knowledge. This crucial IT layer will nurture and reinforce the FLIS learner profile and will strengthen the horizontal and vertical integration along with the SCF competency, values integration within our school’s student-centered educational STEM–STEAM oriented environment.
The iPadic classroom will not replace the pen, paper and hard copy book approach; it will reinforce it and the hard copy books and resources will be present in classes as a supportive resourceful apparatus.
